Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Furoa ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Summary

Furoa is built on a "Privacy First" architecture.

  • We do not collect, store, or sell your personal financial portfolio data.
  • We do not require you to create an account to use the App.
  • We do use trusted third-party services (Apple and RevenueCat) solely to process your "PRO" subscription and sync your data across your own devices.

2. Data Collection and Storage

A. Financial & Portfolio Data (Local & iCloud)

The core function of Furoa is for you to manually track your investments. This data includes, but is not limited to, your asset names, tickers, transaction dates, and quantities.

  • Local Storage: By default, this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
  • iCloud Synchronisation: If you enable iCloud on your device, Furoa automatically syncs your data to your private iCloud container.
  • This data is encrypted by Apple during transit and at rest.
  • We (the developers) have no access to this data. It is accessible only by you through your Apple ID.

B. Subscription Data (RevenueCat)

To manage the “PRO” subscription, Furoa uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription infrastructure provider.

  • What is collected: RevenueCat processes your App Store purchase history and transaction receipts to validate your “PRO” status.
  • How it is identified: We use an Anonymous App User ID generated by RevenueCat. We do not link your purchase history to your name, email, or physical address.
  • Purpose: This data is strictly used to unlock "PRO" features (such as unlimited assets and realised P/L) and to check the validity of your subscription.

3. Third-Party Services

We partner with the following third-party services to ensure the App functions correctly. These services may process data on our behalf:

  • Apple (iCloud & App Store): Handles data synchronisation and payment processing.
  • RevenueCat: Handles subscription validation and receipt verification.

We do not use any third-party analytics services to track your behaviour inside the App.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You retain full ownership and control over your data.

  • Deleting Financial Data: You can delete individual assets or transactions directly within the App. To remove all financial data, you can use the "Delete All Data" button found in the App's Settings menu. This will wipe the local database and attempt to delete the data from your iCloud container.
  • Deleting Subscription Data: Since subscription data is tied to your Apple ID, you cannot "delete" your purchase history from Apple's records. However, you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

5. Children’s Privacy

Furoa is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
