1. Summary
Norua is built on a "Privacy First" architecture.
- We do not collect, store, or sell your personal financial data.
- We do not require you to create an account to use the App.
- Your data remains securely on your device and within your private iCloud account.
2. Data Collection and Storage
A. Financial & Transaction Data (Local & iCloud)
The core function of Norua is for you to manually track your accounts and expenses. This data includes your account balances, categories, labels, and individual transaction details.
- Local Storage: By default, this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- iCloud Synchronisation: If you enable iCloud on your device, Norua automatically syncs your data to your private CloudKit container.
- This data is encrypted by Apple during transit and at rest.
- We (the developers) have no access to this data. It is accessible only by you through your Apple ID.
B. Location Data
The App includes a feature to tag transaction labels with locations using Apple MapKit.
- Location searches are processed by Apple's mapping services.
- Saved location coordinates are stored alongside your transaction data locally and in your private iCloud container.
- We do not track your live location or have access to the places you save.
3. Third-Party Services
We partner with the following third-party services to ensure the App functions correctly. These services may process data on our behalf:
- Apple (iCloud & MapKit): Handles data synchronisation, backups, and location search requests.
We do not use any third-party analytics services to track your behaviour inside the App.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
You retain full ownership and control over your data.
- Deleting Individual Items: You can delete accounts, categories, labels, or transactions directly within the App at any time.
- Deleting All Data: To remove all financial data entirely, you can use the "Delete All Data" button found in the App's Settings menu. This will wipe the local database and delete the data from your iCloud container.
5. Children’s Privacy
Norua is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
